3 WAYS TO SAVE ON SPEAKERS TIP #2: SEEK CO-SPONSORSHIPS

TIP #2 SEEK CO-SPONSORSHIPS

Seeking co-sponsorships for an upcoming event with a speaker is a great way to save money. Furthermore, it is the perfect opportunity to jumpstart campus collaboration. For example, seek co-sponsorship from the Gender Studies Department or a group dedicated to women in science to feature a speaker on reproductive health issues. Or your group can also seek collaboration with the Pre-Med Society and the Department of Nursing and Public Health to help fund your speaker for World AIDS Day.

When you ask another campus organization to provide funds to help with the cost of bringing a speaker to campus, they may ask to be listed on the program or might ask to have a representative on the panel in exchange for their financial contribution. The ways in which the co-sponsorship can thrive are limitless. Just make sure that the organization that you are partnering with has some role in planning.
